Our History
Ballard Fence Company began in 1959 when Gordon Ballard put the first post in the ground. In his off days from working as the Fire Captain for the city of Charleston, Gordon installed fencing. From there, a legacy and staple of the Charleston-Huntington area was born. Gordon ran the fence company for years until his son, Brad began to work throughout his college years. Brad eventually took over & continued to build Ballard Fence Company into what it has become today.
Brad & Gordon worked together for decades continuing to grow the family business into something that could provide and that they were proud of. The next generation of Zak and Bryce entered the picture in 2018 and 2022. Today, Ballard Fence Company is a three-generation family owned business that operates in West Virginia, Kentucky, & Ohio, & looks forward to continuing to grow into an even bigger & better company.
